Ansie Lima, registered midwife, holding a newborn baby

Meet Ansie Lima

Ansie is a registered midwife and doula based in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). She holds a BCUR Nursing degree from the University of Johannesburg and has years of experience across hospitals, clinics, and home births.

After working alongside some of the best midwives in the country at Genesis Clinic and completing the Sensitive Midwifery Course, Ansie now offers antenatal care, home birth support, hospital doula services, and postnatal and breastfeeding support.

As a mom of two (one hospital birth, one beautiful home birth), she brings both professional expertise and personal experience to every class. She knows what it's like to sit where you're sitting right now.

Real moms, real experiences

Here's what some of the moms Ansie has worked with have to say.

"Ansie made me feel so much calmer about the whole birth experience. I went from being terrified to actually feeling excited. Her warmth and knowledge are exactly what you need during this time."

LM
Lerato M.
First-time mom, PE

"The classes were so practical. I loved that the content came in small, easy pieces during the week, and then Fridays we could actually talk through everything. I felt so much more prepared than with my first baby."

SV
Sarah V.
Second-time mom, Gqeberha

"I was so nervous about breastfeeding, and Ansie covered it in a way that was honest but not scary. When the time came, I actually knew what to do. My husband loved the Friday sessions too — he said it made him feel part of the journey."
